For a few reasons, I have a fairly strong interest in the science and the mystery of sleep.
One interesting aspect of sleep is that although we often have many dreams through any given night, we rarely remember any of them because we apparently don't have the capacity to commit them to long-term memory. That is, unless we make a deliberate effort to commit them to long-term memory or write them down in the moments after awakening, in which case you could capture usually just the dream that happened to be the last one of the night. I recently decided to type up my dreams as much as possible, for one month. And in my perpetual spirit of openness, I've decided to share them with you here uncensored. :)

In an apparently upscale boarding high school with roommate Greg Shaffer (actual friend from childhood through high school); staff
(teachers) are apparently all homosexual men.

A French company or group of individuals is interested in purchasing or being a significant client of my company. It's not clear what
my company is, except that my boss is my real boss, Jonathan. There is a "design" component in that the French company's decision
is related to design components (artwork) that somehow represent my company. Some of these pieces are legacy properties of the company,
while one was authored by me during the dream.

Jake (colleague in real life) is having me create a FaceBook account and add various folks as friends there. Those folks are generally
other colleagues who are hanging out at a few bars that we are going to as the context of the whole dream.

Nicole Manry (real life friend) has just moved back to NY from Houston and by coincindence is renting an apartment unit that I previously
lived in (both in real life and in the dream) - 153 Avenue A, Apt 12. I am accompanying her at a coop board meeting for that apartment
(which in real life isn't actually a coop building).

In the middle of the night I had a dream involving kicking an attacking demented, possessed, or mutated female child (such as some
children in Stephen King movies) away which woke me up due to actually kicking. Also at some point in the night was a dream including Michael
Rabbitt (real life friend and colleague) apologizing on a podium to a group of probably our colleagues, regarding some actions of his.
The apology involved him announcing that he would do so while facing away from us, and that as well as the apology were taken by the crowd
as insincere.

One dream that I recall as being a recurrent one was a dream in the later morning in which I thought I was awake and my mind functioning
was (frustratingly) persistently and extremely hazy. Another in earlier morning involved Alyssa Boule (real-life colleague) and (I believe)
my niece Kayla, but I don't recall the context other than that it may have taken place within the confines of some finitely sized room.
Finally, my latest dream involved vehicle(s) and/or room(s), possibly at my parents' house, and involved Jennifer (real-life girlfriend),
who for some reason stayed behing in my parents house for some time after a group of us decided it was time to leave the place. I went
back in the house eventually to retrieve her. One other involved me handwriting a sleep diary of prior dream(s) from the night - the first
(hazy) one that I had mentioned, in particular. Jennifer was present in that dream in a setting that was the actual real-life setting (her
bed). I specifically recall writing the word "frustrating(ly)" in the dream with some inaccuracy due to the haziness of my mind
in the context of that dream as well.

Dream involved my parents connecting me with an old family friend who was in the Italian Mafia - I met him and I was given (I think
from my parents prior to the meeting) an old, "top-secret" book that he had written regarding some inside Mafia information.
There were also other old family photos interspersed in the book as bookmarks, etc. I recall my having lots of interest in the Mafia connections
and inside information while my parents, or at least my Mom, persistently discouraged against the fact that this individual was interesting
at all, nor something that should be researched.

I recall one dream involving a group of upper-teen and/or lower-20's women all with bleached blonde hair. The only thing I recall about
it was someone making a comment to the effect that they were from the Midwest, but I recall thinking that they were European. I also recall
another dream involving some kind of professional boxing (bracket-style) tournament that was about to have its first round of matches in
various weight classes on the day of the dream, probably a Friday or Saturday. I recall telling Ibi Chambers (friend in real life) about
the tournament and realizing that I didn't see any of boxing's bigger stars in the list of matches, at least not in Heavyweight and Welterweight.

I was amongst a group of folks in a physical education class, or at least dressed as such. At least one person was someone from a high
school physical education class of mine. I believe the setting was running / walking along 15th street in Troy, NY, just south of Rensselaer
campus.
